Today, I've been given a set of notes on Atoms, Moles and Stoichiometry. It is about the SI base units in chemistry and also the derived units in chemistry. SI units are used to make communication easier between people in terms of measurement. There is also the accuracy of answers. For example:-
- When adding or subtracting, the answer must have as many decimal places as the original value with the least number of decimal places.
- When multiplying or dividing, the answer must have as many significant figures as the original value with the least number of significant figures.
There is also the 5 rules to determine the number of significant figures in a number.
